2008 Ohio Area Student Environmental Summitt (OASES)

OASES(Ohio Area Student Environmental Summit) is a conference weekend that is being organized for Ohio students by Ohio students. OASES activities are planned for February 8th through the 11th at OSU. The focus will be on building power, using power, and not abusing power. We plan to talk about local, regional, and global environmental issues including topics such as recycling, deforistation, climate change, and coal corporations. We hope to end the weekend with lobbying and a direct action. Additionally, OASES will provide an opportunity to establish a framework/network between schools to get work done within the state.
